Electricity from PV system will firstly provide for household consumption, the extra will be charged into battery if it’s not full.
The exceeded electricity after consumption and battery charging will be fed into grid.

Net Metering
Net metering allows Customers to produce electricity for their use and supply excess produce pays a reduced utility bill or gets paid for surplus energy exported to the local grid.
